• Account data: name, email address, phone number, password (hashed), role (customer or provider).
• Provider profile data: business name, description, service area, categories, contact details.
• Listings: service titles, descriptions, pricing indications, availability.
• Work photos: images that providers upload to showcase past work.
• Enquiries: messages sent from customers to providers through the platform.
• Reviews: ratings and written feedback about providers.
• Payment records for provider plans: plan chosen, currency, amount, Paynow transaction reference, status.
• Technical/log data: IP address, device and browser information, pages viewed, timestamps.
• Cookies and local storage: session identifiers and preferences (see our Cookie Policy).

• Creating and managing accounts.
• Listing providers and their services in search and category pages.
• Enabling enquiries between customers and providers.
• Publishing and moderating reviews.

We process personal data where it is necessary to provide the service you have requested, to comply with a legal obligation, on the basis of your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), or where we have a legitimate interest that is not outweighed by your rights.

• Cloud infrastructure providers that host our authentication, database, and storage.
• Application hosting and runtime providers that serve the SkillsNest website.
• Paynow Zimbabwe for provider platform-plan payments.
• Email and notification providers where used to send transactional messages.
• Law enforcement and regulators where we are legally required to disclose information.

We do not sell personal data.

• Approved provider profiles, listings, work photos, and reviews are visible publicly on the SkillsNest marketplace.
• Enquiries and their message contents are private to the relevant customer, provider, and SkillsNest administrators for support and moderation.
• Account credentials and payment records are never public.

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal, accounting, moderation, dispute resolution, and fraud-prevention needs. When data is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encryption in transit, role-based access, and row-level access controls in our database. No online service can be guaranteed absolutely secure.

Our infrastructure providers may store or process personal data outside Zimbabwe. Where this happens, we rely on our contracts with these providers and their security practices to protect your data.

SkillsNest is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will delete it.
